cc we could use some more IJA/IJN stuff.

Modeling the prop on the D11 wouldnt be "adding" another AC. It would also represent the D11 as it was used from Jan 44 onward. These props were hastily installed to all jug units in early 44. the D11 was recieved in to service in very late 43, it didnt have but a few missions under its belt when it recieved the new Hamilton paddlebalde prop. And from then on was a standard part on their P-47D's.

S!

AHT of P-47 paddle blade project:
"Dec, 1943-Fitting of "paddle-blade" propellers (Curtiss 836 design blades in place of the 714 "toothpick" blades) starts on P-47s, a squadron at a time. This modification, together with the water injection system on the engine, provides a very greatly improved climb rate for the P-47 such that below 15000 feet it can beat the FW-190 in climb.

DblTrubl, 109's and 190's already has many field conversion kits available (rüstsätze), like gun pods( R6), bombs racks(R1?), drop tank(R3), rockets (BR21).
Paddle blade retrofit kit should be considered as "field conversion kit", right?
So....

Why would it need another aircraft to be modelled? Seems to me it's a question of FM rather than model - simply select the option in the hangar and go.

There you have the reason for the improved climbrate. The prop alone wasn´t so much better, maybe even worse for high speeds.

I agree, you take that P47 with paddleblade prop and I`ll take Ar-234 C...:p :p :p

Ar-234B:
maximum speed    460 MPH (740 KPH)
service ceiling        32,810 feet (10,000 meters)
operational radius 500 miles (800 km)
3300 lb bombs (1500 kg)

Ar-234C:
maximum speed      542 MPH (873 KPH)
service ceiling          39,370 feet (12,000 meters)
operational radius   410 miles (660 km)
4400 lb bombs (2000 kg) or Fieseler Fi-103 or a winged SC 1400 bomb...

I'd say that paddle blade propeller brought more to climb than water injection, haven't seen any reference on that, tho.
Water injection was a standard from P-47D-1 (R-2800-21 engine / 2300hp) onwards, so our D-11 has water injection, but not paddle blade prop.

Paddle blade option to choose from hangar is excatly what I've been hoping for.

What do you mean  "kit" to carry 2k bombs? The 38L could carry those straight out of the factory.
