(IMHO)

Concernig offline testing with default Arena Settings (MA?) ammo bunker (smoky one) is not needed shoot down. Smoke prevent view of attackers.

Anyway Smoke is for the goon driver, because smoke tell lowest altitude of the goon dropping.

Thanks Xjazz...

I didn't know you could capture the town without the ammo bunker down...  The smoke certainly causes problems when in a GV trying to protect the town... But you are right that it helps spot the town quickly in a goon.
