I would love to have confirmation of bomb & rocket hits.
The way it is now, I don't know if I am on target or not with my eggs. Unless of course my drop takes out an object... This makes it difficult to know if the technique I am working on is viable.  The only way I know if I missed is to swing around and look for craters...  I either get killed looking or when I get back around there have been others that have dropped right after me or right before me.

A simple  "FH hit" etc...  in the system info would suffice

Hmmmm I might even click on that "For Bribes" link on HiTechs posts if this were to come about...  lol

Maybe offline, or in the TA, but I think it's good to have just a little "fog of war" in the MA.

As it is now, we have AWACS dar to pinpoint the enemy in flight, System messages giving us the play-by-play, bar dar to alert us to enemy strength deep in his own territory, flashing fields to tell us which enemy fields are under attack, CTL-D to give an instant report of damage to our planes, the "You Are Here" map to eliminate navigation, a roster of enemy forces, and an instant report of the condition of *enemy* fields and strategic assets.

The only thing missing is a transparent cockpit.  ;)

Would u know about ur hits in RL? No!
So offline and in TA it's ok but I don't want to get a hit-confirmation in the MA.

Oh I dunno.  I was after a steath FlakPanzer or two yesterday.  First one I missed twice with 1000 pounders, but the flak was exectly between the craters.  The other guy I was hunting with droped his 1000 pounders in that space; no more flack.

A bit later on I did the same trick with rockets; marked the Flakpanzer's position with the craters (again I didn't miss by much, but enough) so others knew exactly where he was hiding.

In all cases I knew from the craters exactly how far off target I was.  Off line I unset ProtectObjects and go to a red base to work on de-acking fields.  I'm almost getting good at it.  Pity on line people seem to think it's sporting to attack people who are attacking their AAA.  :D

Actually yes, IRL there would be visible incremental damage of some sort.

I simply film my sorties and review the film afterwards.

Of course you would get confirmation in RL...
My uncle was a P-47 Pilot in WW2.  I have asked him about dive bombing.  For one, if you missed Dirt and smoke was sent into the air which you could see by looking back.  If you hit a target then either (depending on the target) debris and or flames would be visible...

One thing "Guy" brought up that I have attempted and it seems to help somewhat, is the fact that when divebombing they were taught to aim the bombs at the target... not the nose of the plane... His squadron painted lines on the wings of their P-47's to indicate where the bomb racks were mounted.  They used those for their sights. He also confirmed that the divebombing model in AH was correct in that it was always a matter of "Getting the Feel" for good divebombing...  He said some pilots in his Squadron could put an egg in a 55 gallon barrel, while others couldn't hit a barn...
