Can we get the Panzerkampfwagen VIII Maus.  At 188 tons this would be a worthy adversary and a tough kill.   It was powered by a modified Daimler-Benz MB 509 (developed from the DB 603 aircraft engine).  With that engine, it still could not do 20km/hr!

Only one produced, never made it out of the evaluation stages, much less saw combat........

Actually I do believe two were made.  One is at a museum in Kubinka, Russia.  A second one was functional except the allied bombing destroyed the completed turret.

just nostalgia, I know it maybe impractical for the game, but who cares?  It is an engineering marvel especially from the 40's.

PzKpfw VI Ausf. G "Tiger"

Armor thickness , inclination angles, thickness of armor to punch through with a 90 degree shot::

Body:

Front 100, 81°, 101 mm
Lower front 100 mm, 10°, 576mm
Sides 60 mm 90° 60 mm
Back 60 mm 90° 60 mm

Top 25 mm 0°
Bottom 25 mm 0°

Turret:

Front, around gun ("Blende") 110 mm 90° 110 mm
Front 100 mm 80° 101 mm
Sides 80 mm 90° 80 mm
Back mm 90° 80 mm
Top mm 0-9° >160 mm

Main Gun: 1x 8,8 cm KwK 36 L/56 ,92 rounds
MG: 2x 7,92 mm MG 34 3.920 rounds (one in front, one on top of turret)

Produced:
1942:            78
1943:          649
1944:          623
Total:         1350

Note that this monster could only be killed by 12.7mm MG by a 90° top-shot from less than 100 yards... the Sherman's short 75mm gun will be unable to kill it save for short-range shots to the sides and back (by which time they'll be dead), same goes for T-34.

I'm sooo glad when I get one or two of these babys in ASL (http://www.advancedsquadleader.com)... one time, I killed 7 attacking Shermans before a lucky side shot at 250m killed my tracks... I proceeded to kill 4 more AFVs, then got Infantry-overrun, taking about 50 GI's with me

ah, forgot: Top Speed 45 kph, sustained 40 kph, 25kph off-road

Engine: Maybach HL 210 or 230 P 45, a V12 with 21 litres

Length 8,45m
Width 3,70m
Height 3,00m
Ground clearance 0,47m (climbs 0,8m obstacles and wades through 1,2m deep water)

Climbing angle max. 35°

Range is about 100km with 534 litres of diesel

8 forward and 4 backward gears.

Gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme...
