A True Hero
« on: April 19, 2002, 04:56:19 PM »
Here is a link to an article that appeared in the newspaper after my father was killed in a helicopter crash. He had over 30 years experience with 30,000 flight hours with an accident.

I only hope I can be half the pilot he was. He was my hero.

I'm sorry to hear of your father's passing, usarmy. :(

I'm glad that you have good memories of him.  I'm sure he was thrilled to have a son who saw him in the light you do.

My condolences.

US Army  Awful loss. You must have a lot of good memories with your dad. You must be proud of him, I sure would be too. What an interesting, productive life. All my best wishes to you and yours...

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!
