thats right, it's impossible, you cant hack nor cheat in AH, so you ppl who whine and complain that someone is cheating or is a hacker, think again, it's probbaly either your own stupidity that got you killed, or there was lag or something, but i'm 99% sure that u werent bounced by a cheater/hacker, so for those of you who keep calling ppl cheaters and hackers, SHUT UP AND LEARN HOW TO FLY, it's that simple....

Last night, I was in a P47. I was shot at with 7mm machine guns, and about 3 pings ripped off my tail. I went down like Monica Lewinsky at a career faire.

The pilot who shot me down was so shocked, he asked if I had been previously damaged.

I don't care what anyone says, there is absolutely positively no way in hell that a couple of pings from a tiny machine gun could rip the tail off a P-47.

That was obviously not a cheat, but it was luck so bad, so incredibly out of the realm of possibility, that I am sure other things happen that make people swear someone is cheating (as opposed to believing that something so imossible or unrealistic or lucky could happen)

Actually...it is possible and it has been seen before in the MA.  

Those individuals who were doing it were gone the next day and have never been seen again (at least under that handle) and I am assuming that their IPs and/or credit cards or whatever were blocked.

If you are ever unsure about whether or not someone is cheating....film it.

Without having really gotten into packet mangling the stream back to the servers it's pretty apparent that hacking the client isn't a trivial excersize.  The only reason I've not gone deper into it is I really don't want to trip their security; packets are my thing.

So, let's try this:  Nothing is 100% hack proof, but if something strange is happening rather than immediatly jumping up and screaming "CHEATER!!" sit on your hands, bite your lip, and start thinking of more plausible reasons.

The "cheater" chant is not entirely unlike running around in the real world and blaming everything you don't understand on UFOs from Mars  Yes, it's possible that Martians did it, but it's highly unlikely.

It's just a game.

First of all, AH can be hacked. There is some famous citation about computer security, something like: "Only secure system is the one, which is behind the firewall, has hardware locks, untiviruse installed, closed in the safe which put into 5 metres deep ground hole filled with beton. And even after it you you can not be sure that it is secure" :)

But for the all time in AH I saw only 1 case of confirmed cheating. If you will compare to the times I saw people accused each other of cheating, it will be like 0.0000001% of correctness in such accusations :)

It's all about trust.  Any game which relies on the client to do anything will have cheats and cheaters.  Fighting cheating is a matter of smart coding, detection of cheats, and banning those who do.  As long as the players have control of the machines they play on cheating will exist.

Anyone who says cheating is impossible is either stupid, naive, or defensive about something.....

I think online games need a new definition for the word cheating though.  Cheater, n, A person who somehow manages to kill you even though they're a dumb newbie, and you're a god.

Of course the occasional cheat visits Aces High.  That's NOT the point.  The point is that they are always promptly caught and ejected (permanently.)

Remember the guy who could drop hundreds of bombs? lol  Caterpillar tracks across fields.  I believe Mitsu collared the hoodlum via film.

When i was behind a b17 it kept firing  as i was chasing it (for surely 3 minutes) Later on i got involved into a fight with a fighter the last time i saw the b17 it was far away it was still firing. (so maybe 5 minutes firing time ?)

Maybe it's the same kind off bug that when u are gunner in a bomber an ur out off ammo while ur firing the sound off firing goes on.

It was strange iwon't call it cheating maybe gaming

There have been hackers in the game, there will be more. I have seen mitsu's film and it was a true hack caught in the act. I found 2 in the TA, filmed them then decided to call HTC. HT was there at the phone, on a weekend no less, and immediately went to look. Upshot was 2 players IMMEDIATELY banned and kicked off the server.

Most hacks are pretty damn obvious, speed WAY too high, and so on. Film it and call HTC on the phone. Don't delay, do it NOW and the problem will be taken care of. HT has a neat way to check the hackers actions without having to watch the individual specifically. I would guess some kind of hack detector or something. It works and the offender is dropped like right now. So if you have a GENUINE hacker, film him / her, call htc and stop whining just becuase reality doesn't agree that you are Cod's gift to pilotage. If you die, get another free airplane and go kill the guy that got you.

ok so i figure it is possible but my point was that whoever your calling a hacker/cheater, probably isnt, and he's either laggin, or is better than you.....
i was called a cheater once for conserving my ammo, i have my niki with 1x ammo on and i wasnt firing all the cannons like mad and i wasnt firing them all at the same time, so i kept wacking this guy, and was becoming damaged every so often, but after flying for 5 or so minutes knocking the guy out of the sky 7 times, he called me a hacker saying i had unlimited ammo, when in fact i still had about 128 rounds or so in each gun left....only because i was conserving instead of firing wildly all over....(he also wasnt jinking my shots):rolleyes:
