9./JG54 has switched to Rooks recently for the apparent reasons...
After flying under rook colours for a couple of days now the two sided gang-banging is more than obvious. What puzzles me is the fact that the second "winning" country (always still 2:1 numberwise) is still milkrunning alongside (*) the country with the most bases instead of attacking it. The result is that we get reset after only a few hours with the second country wondering why they lost reset again...
I have no problem with being the underdog - on the contrary it makes flying much more challenging - but oth strategic efforts are always doomed to fail. Too many leave the losing country to soon - hordes of enemies i/b from all sides make it impossible to defend or even to regain the offensive.
(*) <-- for that reason a 3-sided arena does not work at all - people are too concerned to get their vulches and milkruns... so why not introduce a 2-sided arena - at least you can focus on 1 enemy! E.g. not having put your HQ down by 1 side and fields captured by the other! 2 sided arena with (semi-)historical setup (e.g. axis vs. allies) - no, not as CT (too few players in my timezone) but as only choice! I really can't see the pros of the 3 sided (e.g. 2 vs. 1) arena right now! It obviously failed!
OR introduce more balancing factors - e.g. limited aircraft spawn from specific bases, lower win-perks if numbers too loopsided, higher ENY values for outnumbered, special planes (e.g. Me163) if less than 5 fields
