Hi all

Which AV software do you recommend for Windows XP?  I normally use Nortons AV but what's the competition like?

I use McAfee with the online feature. Easy updates (very frequent) and it has saved me from several viri. Price is reasonable as well.

I use Norton on this box and PC Cillin on the other box.  Both have caught plenty of bugs trying to sneak into my machines.  Was a die hard Norton user, but the driver disc for my new mobo came with PC Cillin, so I gave it a shot.  The both seem to do the job nicely.

Hi Nexx,
I use AVG Antivirus system. It's free, Very regular updates (Several a week on occasions). Never been knowingly caught out yet by a virus.

It Caught  "I-worm/Klez" this morning in an email attachment.

I can well recommend it (Yes they do a Free XP version as well).

Thanks for the advice guys, I've gone back to Norton with their 2002 AV package (found 3 new viruses on new check too! :O)

I did have the NAV 2000 but there wasn't an easy conversion to XP compatible.
