Hmm, somehow my followup post didn't make it through.

I read that it is supposed to reach up to nine METERS in length (might have been a misprint), and that they DO attack divers. Their mouths are supposed to span as much as three times their span.
My girlfriend and I are planning a vacation to fly from California to Hawaii, Guam, the Solomons, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, and finally Australia. She likes to snorkel, so I've been checking out the possibilities. From what I've found I'm going to be avoiding the night swims. In fact, I'm leaning toward England and a visit all of the Air Museums.

Animal, this thing is supposed to be extremely elusive, but I'm intending to take a camera anyway (to get shots for screen savers, etc). Hopefully, this camera won't get lost by the Airlines like the last one.
