How about a Hawk 75A, it is esential a P 40 varient and was widely used in the early part of the war, and has it's place even in the mid war years. here we see French Hawks and Wildcats mixing it up in 42.

The Hawk (aka P-36) actually came before the P-40.  The P-40 and P-36 are basically identical aft of the firewall.  If HTC make a P-40 it will be pretty easy for them to add a P-36.  :)

Another similar bird.

Hawk 75A-3, "White 9" flown by Sgt Georges Lemare of GC 1/4, Dakar-Oukam, Sept '41.  Lemare ended the war with 13 kills, flying with Normandie-Nieman
