Pink Floyd Back Catalog
« on: April 24, 2002, 10:20:58 PM »
Found this when the "Pink" thread got hijacked from pink flamingos to Pink and Pink Floyd. (yeah... I know... I was one of the culprits. sue me.) :D

This is an official EMI record store promo poster for the re-release of the Pink Floyd back catalog on remastered CD's. Conceived and designed by Storm Thorgerson.

Here's a link for a larger version...

Oh... and in case you want to buy it... a 60x40 inch poster is available here.

I hope they didn't remaster Piper At The Gates Of Dawn in fake stereo cause the remastered one I have sounds glorious in mono...Easily the best Pink Floyd CD,then Meddle,then....well,that's all you need actually..:D

I heard Johnny Rotten used to wear an "Animals" t-shirt all ripped up with the words "I Hate" added with a black marker..

I have Piper and Saucerfull on a "pirated" LP from Andrey Tropillo, in stereo. There is a legend that Paul McCartney said he'll never come to Russia after he listened to White Album "remastered" by Tropillo ;) But I have to admit that it's one of the best from 4 or 5 White Album remixes that I have heard.

Mono releases on CD are funny. One of the worst that I have is "Something Else" by the Kinks. It sounds awful.
