HT: Can You Alter Text Channel 3 To Use Range Rather Than Room?

I found out a bit ago that the way the text channel 3 works was not the way I thought it did.  The whole time I had been using it as a range channel when in actuality it was only transmitting to the folks that left the same airfield I did.

Yesterday I jumped online and started buzzing around doing some base capture assist stuff and calling out information when I thought necessary.  You know AA down, 109 up, FP on the way, stuff like that but this time over the country channel.

What I started thinking was I’m flooding the text buffer for everyone else on the other side of the map.  I know the voice range is in, I don’t like using voice com, just me and I imagine a few others don’t like using it either, it’s just a preference thing.

HT can channel 3 text be altered to act the same as the voice range?

Yes, it's confusing, because they've got the same color.

What we really need is an objective channel. One that every attacker or defender of the same field is tuned to. range/room is too limited for coordination. 100+fieldnumber could work, but would require every player to tune by hand.

I always thought the Room Channel was the text version of the Range Channel...

It sure would be a nice feature... to have it changed to Range...

would making channel 3, a "range" channel, be hard to implement?
