you hack

Canadians finally got a taste of their own medicine. I was at Games 1 and 2 in Boston and the Habs are one hell of a chippy team.

Game 5 is gonna be nuts.

I dunno... A nasty hit no doubt, but it looked like McLaren was aiming for a body shot and got out of position or misjudged the arc, then he reached for contact and got Zednick with his arm.

Sure... the consequences of the move were severe. Zednick is racked up, but McLaren isn't known in the league as a cheap shot artist.

He'll, no doubt, be suspended but it hardly looked criminal.

Gloating because if anyone remembers right Zednik two handed Kyle off the back of his legs in Game 2

Mclaren wasnt trying to kill him. Zednik's head was down and Kyle was just trying to get a piece of him. Woulda been even worse had he got him hip to hip I figure.

Zednik's a hack and he got what was coming to him. Sucks that he's injured but no sympathy from me.

Now we get to see the Habs try to play Boston physically. It's gonna be a hoot. Their gameplan of 'hack from behind, sneak in, score' was a better idea. Now they'll throw the series if they come looking for revenge cuz Boston will beat the living crap out of them.

Who was that guy who tried to fight little PJ Stock?->Odjick, thats who it was. I thought it was funny that PJ got the instigating penalty when Odjick was the one who clawed Stock in the face to start the fight.

Only in Montreal.

oh yeah, Glad to see PJ kick his bellybutton too.

Broken nose, broken jaw, serious, possibly carreer threatening concussion?  Ya, he deserved that :/.

Zed is chippy, not nearly as bad as that studmuffin Gary Roberts to mention one of hundreds, but that hit, intentionally aimed at head or not, is going to be worth 5 games I bet, based soley on the destruction it caused.

Next game is going to be insane, I can't wait!!

I bet 50$ USD that the Montreal coach gets a fine/suspension for his comments post game.  Any takers on 2-1 odds? :p

Ok, let me go back on a little of what I said

I'm not happy that Zednik got hurt. We're not cheering a possible series victory in Boston because Montreal's leading threat got knocked out. I will never wish injury on any player in any sporting event.

I play hockey. Have been for 15 years out of 20 of my life. Stuff like that happens, but it's damn sure easier to feel bad when it happens to someone like Sergi Samsonov then a player who plays chippy hockey like Zednik.

Either way, that game on Saturday is going to be the one to watch. I hope the refs keep a good hand on things because if they don't the game will get out of hand real quick. Fortunately for the Bruins, that's the type of game they play.

Oh, and I agree that Montreal's coach should get a stiff fine for his comments. Yea, he's frustrated but you gotta hold your tongue when the reporters are writing.

Only in Canada can you go to a game and hear both national anthems booed, a fan runnin on the ice, and crap thrown at the visiting team as they leave the ice and then to put the icing on the cake have the home coach directly threaten injury in the next game.

g,d,r :)

I tend to agree with anything negative about Quebec even if it's a lie ;)

Something else I have been pondering is why so many people still think the U.S and Canada are all that different and shouldn't become one Nation.  I think both nations would benifit greatly by a union of the two. Mabey I am getting ahead of the natural evolution or mabey it'll never happen.

Sorry for straying off topic.

Crush him yeh! We are rooting for violence here aren't we?

Cheers!!

Nothing better then a Boston, Montreal game:eek:

We use too burn Montreal jerseys when I was a kid. Made them out of t-shirts with Magic markers.
