Hi Mates

Am working on very low level bombing with the B26 (anticipating the A20G).

I am not totally familiar with everything in AH and need some help.

First, is it possible to set the bomb delay longer than 1.0 seconds? Bombing a very low level, you blow your self up as it is now. In RL, could set bomb delays up to one hour or more. Would just need around 3 or 4 seconds to get off the target and clear.

As a bomber squadron leader in WB, we had a "mud mover" sight for the B25H that was pretty good for very low work. Does anyone in AH have such a bombsight? Would be a good time to get one working.

Can anyone advise on these topics?

The delay you are setting merely sets the interval between each bomb dropped during a salvo, it has nothing to do with how soon the bomb explodes after impact... if you are blowing yourself up with your own bombs you need to fly higher.

Like chunder said, the delay you set, is ONLY the interval between bomb drops.

Do like this, type .salvo 4
then type .delay 0.5

This will make you drop 4 bombs with one press of the button, and they will be dropped with half a second between them.
Been requests for "real" bomb delays and i hope we get it, till then, fly fast and at more then 1k alt and you should be OK, allso, try to maneuver away from the place you drop the bomb, make a hard climbing turn.

You can't change the gunsight on the B-26. It is simply the ring and bead type.

Many thanks for the response.

I didn't realize that the delay was just setting the time between bomb drops. Thought delayed explosion. Doh!

However, my point is that I am working on very low level bombing and will need a bomb explosion delay. I realize that as it is now, you get blown up at low level. This is what I want to overcome.

Perhaps I should direct this to Hitech and the gang.
