« on: May 03, 2002, 04:39:39 AM »
Hi all,
im very annoys if someone does a joinrequest (not about that request) and just at the moment i want to fire an enemy that request window jumpes up and i can see nothing. Till i found my mouse and shoot down that window the enemy is in safe.
Can someone tell me is there a shortcut to shoot down the request window

Thank`s ahead.

Hi Alino!

How are you?

You are right, this JOINING WITHOUT PERMIT is very annoying.

If I remember right, there is dot commad something like ".showjoin". This move joining message to the radio message window.

Normaly if somebody try join, I accept it and continue like nothing happend. If "guest" start whining something like "I want out"  or "I command you to RTB" and then "U suck man!" I just squelch "guest" and continue my flying.

I could care less what JWPs whining...

I think until HiTech fixes the .showjoin command, you and I are going to have to suffer.  One of the by-products of being listed at the top of the roster list I guess.  I've lost a few fights because of the Join screen popping up in the middle of my screen, pisses me off to no end.

Im not sure if this would work or not but how about getting a friend to .join you as you enter and moving the join box to the very edge of the screen before declining the invite?

would this make it reappear off screen when the next request is made?

it probably will reset to the same damn annoying middle of the screen position but you never know, maybe it will work.

I get the same thing quite a bit aand im not even at the top of the list so it must drive you guys crazy!

Ohhhh damn AKAK you thought the Roster not the Scoreboard.
the fun about my first good score last month made me a little blind and stupid.

HT addes a change to the Showjoin command if I remember right, you have to type .showjoin 1 or .showjoin 01, and .showjoin 2 or .showjoin 02, something like that to make it effective.

I seem to remember something about that, ask HT if you see him in blue, or try it out.

showjoin 0 is what it is if I remember right
This window sucks...wish the textbar display was the default, or the window was smaller or elsewhere.
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)
