Thanks ripsnort, my friend.

I have never, really, been able to deal with 9/11. My dad entered the hospital on the 10th for some "tests". He was still there on 9/11 when these tests didn't go well, thus I was watching the horror from a hospital waiting room. He died 12 days later. :(

I still grieve for him and the lost souls of 9/11.

One day.

I am so sorry to hear that Apache. The ripple affect of 9/11 can take so many different forms. Your burden must have been especially difficult. :(

Man that's so true.  Last November I thought I was over the grief and only had anger left.  Then the weekend before Thanksgiving my best friend at work died of an anurism.  One day you buy a guy lunch at work and the next day he's dead.  The one unexpected thing that happened to me was the even greater backlash of grief for 9/11.  I guess it just put it into perspective for me how much suffering and misery was caused on that day.

:(

Lest we forget... gimme a gawdamn break. We've usurped the government in Afganistan and now were 5 months into the bug hunt with no end in sight.

Of course... we could spend the rest of our lives lamenting the loss of a few citizens, but what does it really accomplish?

Not a gawdamn thing. Other than giving Bush more time to use the U.S. military without sanction from the Legislative branch of the government.

Hell... We all know that Bush is just using this to forward his own whacked out agenda of continued American domination.

besides...

It's Stanley Cup Playoff season!

Oh dear, someone has strayed from the path of 'appropriate emotional response'.
