I’ve been out of the office for the past week or so.   I’m now getting caught up with everything that’s going on so this is a good time to talk about it.  It’s already been almost two months since 1.09 was released.  We didn’t waste any time after 1.09 to get started on 1.10 development so we’re well into it.  We are trying to get a lot packed into 1.10 but we’re also trying to keep the development cycle short.  So far, it appears we’ll be able to accomplish both.  As always, there will be plenty of other additions and fixes but I won’t go into them all now.  Here’s some of the major things we’re working on:  Ronni has been focusing on continued improvements to the film viewer.  HT is currently working on the formation bomber option that will allow a single player to control a formation of 4 bombers.  The details of the system are currently being flushed out in development and testing and we’ll post those details as soon as we’re comfortable with the implementation.  Natedog and Superfly have been busy cranking out new aircraft as you can tell by the screenshots they’ve posted so far.  We’ve set high goals in this area and want to see more new airplanes in this version than any other version we’ve done.  Most of the new planes will be from the war in the Pacific.

For the past few months, we have been working on getting more bandwidth installed at Applink.  This will give us greater control of connectivity issues and allow us to boost capacities in arenas other than the main.  This has been a very frustrating and slow process due to some unexpected hassles, but we are continuing to move forward on this.  This is an expensive upgrade, but one that we feel will increase the quality of our service greatly.  We’ll announce when things are in place and we’re ready to start making the switch, but we don’t have a firm date on this yet.

That’s it for now.  As we get closer, we’ll put out some more details of the various new features in the next version.  There’s quite a bit I haven’t mentioned but I’ll have to get to that later.
