Wireless Network question
« on: May 13, 2002, 04:20:32 PM »
I'm thinking of buying an 802.11b pair of network cards to enable me to connect me laptop to the net. (I want to play AH whilst on the can, It's the only quiet room in the house). I know that the data rate varies with signal strength, but will it cause problems with AH?
My setup is...
Athlon 1.4 Desktop with two NICS, one connected to a Cable Modem, one wireless to the laptop and using XP ICS on both. I've tried wired networking and it's fine.

Whaddaya reckon?

It should work fine. The only real issue here is what your family is going to think when you go to the bathroom every 5 minutes and take your computer with you...

They're too busy wrecking the joint, putting spoons in the VCR etc.
Thanks for the reply though!
