Just got on and strolling the BBS. I see Natedog yelling he quits (for the day...) and Superfly bemoans no more updates or improvements to Aces High. Huh? I know this is all tongue in cheek, but I guess I'm used to the more calm, cool collected posts from HTC staff and pretty surprised to see whining.

What's up? Did I miss a thread/BBS flame war somewhere on here?

What's going on fellas?

The Val debate reached critical mass on the whin-o-meter. There is an automatic whine repression sequence that flips out (and kicks some dude in the face) when the Whine threshold is exceeded.

for the most part, they're both right. I'm sure that Nate has worked hard on the Val and to see people squeaking about it, must be something difficult to take lightly.

I wouldn't call it whining....

but... there's only so much a bunch of pasty skinned keyboard jockey fighter ace wannabes can complain about your work before you let them know you see them acting like a bunch of 3 year old jack tulips that didn't get what they wanted for christmas and are now sulkin in the corner with one thumb in their mouth and the other up their bellybutton before you have to retaliate with a "whine" of your own.

What comes around goes around, I think anyone complaining about new planes being added should be limited to only those planes for the rest of the time they hold on account with HTC.

Acting like a bunch of babies that just toejam their diapers for f*k's sake.

I tend to agree, I finally had a chance to read the mentioned thread and I am just absolutely amazed that a few folks acted and responded as they did. We all look forward to new airplanes...and a lot of work goes behind the making of each. Instead of ATTA BOYS, many posted quick criticism and nags for other planes. Geesh.

However, if I were Superfly or Nate, I would've remained silent...let it roll off their backs, or let the big guns (HiTech or Pyro) jump in, if they chose to. By participating in the thread and complaining/whining, I just got the impression they are taking the thread far too serisouly and getting upset over what 1% of the community is saying.

There are many fine planes in Aces High, and they all look great. There's a handful I use, but that doesn't mean I do not think any less of all the hard work, research and rendering it took to create them.

Normally, I would just ignore the whining and crying, but it reached an all time ridiculous level in that thread. I think we've spoiled this community.

LOL, SW wins the "perfect take on the situation" award for this week! How anyone could be disapointed with ANY new plane additions to the game is beyond me. Progress is progress, and it's all good baby.
