Quick question here guys. When you are using your Cougar profiles in AH did you have to setup the button mapping in the game? I am curious because I can not get them to hold at all when I am doing the input in the stick mapping section of AH.

I have Revvin and SOB's profiles downloaded and printed so I can see what the differences are. So far they both look like they are good setups but I am trying to get something in between that will work out for me.

When you're in the AH Stick Mapping screen, make sure you first highlight the function you want to map a button to, then click on the button, then click on Set.  If that's what you're doing and it's still not working, try deleting the jstk??.cfg file in the /Settings folder of Aces High.  Karnak had to do this to get his to work.

I think I will have to kill that file because nothing is holding at all when I highlight then set the function. I wonder if it is because my old stick setup was an FLCS/TQS.

You might check to see if the file itself is Read Only.  I had this problem before, i couldn't d/l maps or change settings on various planes.  This might be the reason.

If it is, set the file to Archive and everything should be fine (no idea why Archive, but that was what the other config files were).

If you use my profile you can clear all mapping from the game its all done through the profile. The profile uses standard AH keys so you may have to alter the macro file if you have remapped any keys such as your mic keys.

I have updated the profile recently to include toe brakes on buttons T5 and T4 and also both wheel brakes applied using button T3. The engine stop/start and landing gear commands now have a kind of fail safe in that you need to press the S3 button and either T4 or T5 to access these commands as I found myself operating these buttons whilst in flight. The new zip includes an updated overlay also. The old one can be downloaded from Cougar World or the new updated version from my squad site here
