You have choices, I mean seriously, you have choices.

No one makes you listen to Channel 1, you can squelch the whole channel or individuals. You have a choice.

You can get on this BBS and rant and rave about others being bigots, and then let your own words brand you as a bigot too. Or you can ignore the ignorant. You have a choice.

No one is the arbiter of conduct in the arena other than HTC. If you are offended by someone's conduct in the arena, take a screen shot or two and send it to HTC. I am sure they will take care of the problem. Or maybe they won't, they have choices also.

The best way to deal with south bound ends of north bound horses it to hunt them down and blow them to bits, while ignoring them on Channel 1. I especially like shootin' off a wing, and seeing that it was some %*$* that I just hammered, then going back and shooting his chute

Face it, chute shootin' isn't as much fun as vulchin', but I'll take what I can get

From my personal experience as of late I think a general statement about showing a little more respect with Ch 1 coms was not out of line.

I guess you missed my post in this thread AND my other post last week. I think the original intent of leaving names out because maybe, just maybe the person might be reading this and take steps to avoid this himself in the future without HTC stepping in. I for one don't want to see anyone get the boot, but once in awhile someone needs to step in and give some people a "timeout" whether it's done by themselves or HTC.

That's the reason why I didn't mention names or at first send a film/screenshot, I thought the most of the players here would be mature enough to police themselves and the arena, but alas, I was wrong.

Good thing I did film it though, since it's obvious the arena can't police itself, I just sent it in so HTC can do the job.

I like to have channel 1 on - sometimes people you know say Hi or there are, believe it or not some conversations you like to hear- whatever.

The recent barrage at night/early morning (there 's not just 1 guy - it's several) has been pretty ugly.

At the time of the day there are many nationalilities playing what is a global game - I have felt embarrassed for some of the other players from other countries who are on-line at the time.

I don't lose sleep over it - but it detracts from the enjoyment of the game

A "permanent" squelch list would probably help

It takes alot to get under my skin and last night channel 1 made me sick. I am sure I have a film if needed. I fly to have fun, not to debate like children over non-game related toppics, or name calling and insults. I did squelch 1, and is fine for a tempory fix.

Just out of curiosity, has this issue(s) ever come up in the past? If it did how was it dealt with then? Does HTC have some guidelines of what they consider inappropriote or do they just trust us to use common sense? All this crap really detracts from the fun of this great little game. I have not been on a whole lot latley so im just wondering if there is a serious problem or do we have a few morons offending the easily offendable? (just asking) I just would hate to see this turn into a tattle tale fest, but in the same breath if your one that cant see you're messing up a good thing maybe you do need to be reported. Just my two cents worth, felt the need to pop off after reading all that. If you don't like it, i don't care, but i will sleep better tonight.

I would hate to see a parent who was just happy the kid wasnt playing some first person shooter with blood and guts everywhere, only to find racial slurs and very ignorant/offensive comments with no relation to the game sitting flashing across there 10 year olds computer screen.

OK, You can squelch channel one if you don't have the 'nads to hang with the big dawgs... oh wait, creating or allowing a hostile environment is not conducive to attracting/keeping a large playerbase, which pays the bills

Nads have nothing to do with it, I just get tired of listening to all you handsomehunkes. I squelch ch1 as soon as I log on. I didn't used to, a few years ago, but it (channel 1) haas just gotten out of hand.

I'm also pretty sick of the just squelch channel one advice...why in the world should channel one be the sole property of those who choose to harass, denigrate, cry like little girls and generally make tulips of themselves? Given the fact that there is an acceptable use policy in this game, my 15 bucks buys the right to a channel one that is NOT simply a vehicle for abuse. By squelching channel one you are giving up and letting the inmates run the asylum.
