Luftwobble in good standing for many a year.

Took the F4U up for some hops over here, and haven't got out of it since :D

Great model here, really enjoy it.

Us Luftwobbles sometimes have strange things above our flight desks ;)

Mums the word :)

hmm, looks like an Antec case.
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

I love the F4U-1, but it accelerates and climbs very slowly.  P51B out accelerates and out climbs the F4U-1 bigtime.

I wish I could fly the ol'B but I have a very nasty habit of ripping it to shreds when I move the stick:( Until I can get that under control I'll stick with the hog-1:cool:

I thought we had 4. Here's what I think of each.
  • F4U-1. Don't really like it. Don't like the cockpit. Outside vis is erring towards P38.
  • F4U-1C Good. Needs 8 perk points to fly, but a good plane with great guns; Useful for strafing down the town and killing ackstars.
  • F4U-1D. My favourite of the lot. Good ammo load, no perk points needed. In fact the only fighters I seem to fly are this and the P51D. But I use the F4U-1D mainly for jabo, and destruction of towns.
  • F4U-4. 50 perk points LOL! It used to be 60. Needs to get to great altitude before it justfies those 50pp. If you use its speed, it will compress. Not worth the PP.
Poopster. Don't go back to that piece of toejam you've been flying. Also, try out the P47s - MUCH better than where we came from, and closer to how Gabreski described it in his book.

The F4Us are great B&Z/e-fighters, but keep your eye on the accelerometer when zooming up. Try not to exceed 1.2G, or you wont be able to zoom up as far. I like the rolling ability of the F4U. As for turns, who needs 'em!  This is a B&Z plane. :D

Dago I hope they never discontinue this case. When I built a box for my Daughter I used the same case. It ROCKS :D

Got three case intake fans in front, three output in back ( counting the power supply ), the 3 little hard drive fans above the floppy..

Case temp of 75 degrees :)  CPU temps under load run about 101 :D   ( 1.2 T-Bird ) Slow by todays standards but it's almost a year old..

Take off the side panel and it's....just...all there :)

Haven't seen a better set up in any cases I've looked at.

For 90 bucks with a 300 watt PS ??? Gotta be kidding, best out there IMO

:)

Got to admit I have a little soft spot for the ugly bent winded blue plane particularly the 1D.
