Let's talk World Cup...who is going to win?
« on: May 17, 2002, 07:39:45 AM »
Whenever England is playing I want them to win.  So they are my team again this time around.

My dark-horse favourite...Portugal.

Betting time?

Hortund?  Sweden is in a tough group this year...Nigeria, Argentina and Enland!

Glad news for u all there is a chance now to win, since the dutch lion isn't present.

If those italians played some soccer when there was the European Championship. Instead off killing the game and wait for penaltys.

We beated the france team wich became European Champion

We should have been champ.

And think off it our country got only 16 milion habitans.

Compared to those big dweeb countrys that's something
:D

emmmm...apart from clearly being bitter that the Dutch didn't qualify, do you have an opinion as to who will win?

France will win it, I think.

Last final sure was a game to remember.

England is a shadow of itself.
Germany doesn't have much but the history going for it.
Poland is at best unpredictably, capable of horrendus diddlyups.
Argentina and Brazil didn't shine too much in qualifiers.
Italy or spain haven't impressed me overall either.

I think of all teams, France has the most steady and dependable, well playing team.
And Zidine sure kicks ass....

I hope Poland at least makes it out of the group :)

France's luck is gonna run out sooner or later, straffo.......France wont win it this time.....hopefully.:D

wow!!! Zidane's goal against Leverkusen (sp?) on the weekend was fantastic- what a volley!

I wouldn't rule out England though....quite a few foreigner's who play in the premiership have said not to underestimate England (even some frenchies).:D

If i had to place money on anyone it would be Argentina, although England could do well- maybe getting through the group of death will get England in winning form.

hehe ;:)

I love fishing too ;)

I hope to see the best team with the best spirit win the World cup (I don't want to see another Maradona "God" hand again ...)

That goal from Zidane is something like the "golden bullet"
I seriouslty think that Zidane is not from Earth ...
