2002 CAF Heart of America Wing Open House


Where: New Century(IXD) Olathe, Kansas.... the tower (133.00) frequency.

The airport is 39nm from the TOP(Topeka) VOR(117.8) on the123 radial or 36nm from BUM(Butler) VOR(115.9) on the 334 radial

When: June 1-2, 2002

Hours: 9-5 Sat & Sun

Aircraft Scheduled:

North American P-51 Mustang.
Mitsubishi Zero Fighter (Replica built for TORA TORA TORA).
North American B-25 Mitchell "Show Me".
TBM Avenger (Type flown by Former President Bush).
Fairchild PT-19 (3).
Consolidated Vultee Valiant BT-13 (3).
North American T-6 Texan.
Boeing PT-17 Stearman.
Twin Beech 18.
Taylorcraft L-2.
and MORE.

Vacation!  I'll know more of our "plans" once I get to Nebraska on Friday the 24th..I'll ring you either Fri or Sat evening and set something up, even if its a "Drive by, hiya doing" for the following week.

Gman enjoy the hangar?!  You want to see a kid drool at the mouth? :)  Make that 3 kids! :) (His brother and I too!)

I live in OP about 5-10 minutes away.

Have any idea what’s going to happen?

Rip said he’d only be in KC next Monday through Wednesday.  I’m expecting to hear from him sometime Friday.  Just curious if anyone knows anything else.

See the Famous Aviator, Toad, doing continual flips and rolls right over a hot BBQ grill! See the burgers do continous loops that would make a Niki blush with shame! See "manual trimming" of hot dogs so they fit into the buns! See perfect "energy management" as Toad sits by the grill in a comfortable lawn chair drinking beer with one hand and flipping burgers with the other!
See a perfectly restored 26 year old Fiesta gas grill doing what it does best!

You don't want to miss this one!
