I managed to land a tempest with no ailerons,no engine and no airfield-and 1/2 elevator:

Ever landed a B-17 with no alerons, no engines, no verticle stabilizer and no engines. Trust me that's alot tougher.:D

UH no. I did land it. it was as in as many peaces when i landed it as it was in the air. It worked trust me.:mad: or else:cool:

land ditch whatever.i couldn't land cause my engine stopped so I had to go straight till I found terrain flat enough to land (pardon-ditch) on.:p :p :p :p :p

Yeah, the ditch/land thing is kinda weird and very strict.  I ran out of fuel and glided in and landed with no damage...but was short of the runway a few yards and it was considered a ditch.  Oh well.  But it can be a lot of fun to nurse a very badly wounded fighter back home for a landing.
