Initialization failed

Hi I was wondering why I was getting this message and if there was any way to fix it.. I am running XP but when i click on aces high it goes into it..then goes to desktop with that lovely error

 Initialization Failed with -9
 Main wld_failed -1


Any ideas?

Either you have a program that is utilizing your sound card. Or you just need to reinstall your sound card drivers.

Well, I checked that out and there are no programs running ... my sound is fine.. I can hear stuff. I just don't know why aces high gives me that error if my sound card works ... :(

Try reinstalling the sound drivers or Direct x. Aces high is having trouble utilizing the sound card.
