No you know the tiefighters on Starwars (first 3 movies).

PS. The C130 is totally unacceptable! It wasnt even in testing stage untill about 10-20 years AFTER WWII and is still being used today!! Gameplay should come first yes, but this is totally unacceptable, I mean might as well have f-14's flyin around shootin missiles at the "old" ww2 planes.

Now if we had a Aces High on the gulfwar or somethin it would be acceptable because it was at least the right time frame.  But A c-130 in WW2??? No Way!...

Though that does give you the idea: Maybe if Aces High went from WW1 to the modern day? and had ww1, ww2, veitnam arenas etc?? then you could have c-130s and stuff, but the C130 just couldnt fit in WW2...

I know I want biplanes but at least they were used a good deal in WW2 some were even used through out the whole war even in late war, but C130 is just too far into the future.

A Gigant or Tatzlewurm (sp.?) would be more appropriate for dropping off small GV's.

as to a C-130, LOL!

MMOG = Massive Multiplayer Online Game

Where does it say that it can't be a flight sim?  Doesn't an arena with 550 people indicate that it's an MMOG?  Doesn't the name Aces High give you a clue that it's meant to be a flight sim?

I'd be ROFL if it wasn't for the fact that I pity you so much...

P.S. Have you ever seen a C130 carry a tank?  No, didn't think so.

yes it can

C130s can carry light tanks and APC's

So... in theory it COULD sertanly carry the M3 or M16.

BTW.. this thread is pretty dumb

The c130 wil NEVER come to AH, and why RoyofCA started this post and calls the tanks for "uber" is beyond me

If you think that climbing a hill for 5miles is so bad... then don't do it.

I'm actually surprised and feel kinda stupid for eaven bothering with this thread at all :p

I think we can learn a lesson from the master of game development right here. Gameplay must come before realism in games. If the game is not fun, the historical accuracy does not really matter because no one will play it (no, im not talking about this game, im talking hypothetically)
"

The lesson to learn from John Romero is that do nothing dweebs waste millions of dollars and don't deliver squat.
But I bet even John would say you an idiot to want a 1950s plane in a ww2 game.
