is that a bug or could the SBD canopy actually close while in flight? +)


Never seen a pic of an SBD in flight with the canopy closed!!

I can see the tail gun, but where are the pointy forward guns? Shurley shome mishtake?

The pointy forward guns are at the top of the engine cowling.

SBd's were used for fleet cap and scouting duties

They were quite maneuverable

Excellent excellent, WTG HTC!!!
Can't wait to try out the Dauntless. Why?
It carries bombs and rockets
It is a rugged little thing.
It's the nimblest plane with a tailgun in the game.
It has airbrakes!!!! proper ones.
What we however need in the game is something to help us aim bombs better from a divebomber than other planes. Maybe some kind of indicator (like in aw?).

It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

I read on bigweek that those antenae were for air to surface radar.................

would be neat if the AH dauntless could detect "local" enemy fleets on dar..........
