332nd Mongrels & JG2 FIll the Skies!
« on: March 26, 2000, 10:08:00 PM »
3:00 est today 2 large formations of P38's & NiK2-J's climbed into the Skies over Knightland. Establishing local air supperiority over f3 we got a few kills & had a blast.

Then Bee was in my radio buffer asking if we were interested in a combined opps raid deep into enemy territory. Well we landed & formed up at f10. JG2 took 4 buffs with some of their hot sticks in 38's. The 332nd Filled out their ranks with a ton of hvy 38's and one light Nikki (guess who forgot to change planes   )

The mission was a success, we lost 2 bombers in the process, & a few fighters, but managed to hit the enemy deep into his home turf.

Thanks to the great guys of JG2!
It was a blast!

LOL

I remember those raids I was a victim 3 times.  I could not roust up much allied support.  So myself and a few others felt like the proverbial mouse giving the one finger salute to the diving eagle.

<S> JG2

The first engagement, well was kind of weird.  I was trying to catch this diving swooping P-38.  The lamer ignored me, and kept diving and swooping.  Then WHAMO, the mass cloaking device powered down.  The skies fill with red ICONS.  Geez, I had at least 5 planes on my six and all shooting at me.

The funny part was that I think that I was also cloaked.  The lone P-38 that I thought was alone, never saw me and was chasing someone else that I did not see.  Made me mad at the time, but I guess it was kind of funny after thinking about it.

BTW, what does JG2 mean?  I can only think of Jumping Gangbangers that need 2 to 1 odds to get courage enough to engage.

I was in the tower at 2 when I saw a large group of N1K's and FTD's fly over in formation... I was in awe when I saw them pass by I checked the roster and saw they all were Flying Mongrels. I asked Ghostt on private channel if he would like some CO-OP mission with JG2... and he told me he was game

We assembled at 10... 5 buffs and about 15 angry Mongrels and JG2ers looking to pick a fight in their P38's (and one N1K   )

I must say guys... it was just beautiful watching those 'little friends' sweeping over our buffformation.

A big WTG to the Flying Mongrels and of course JG2. Realy nice work on the buffing and 'scorting.

Saw discoed and joined me as gunner... perhaps I should have put on the heater cause he was gettin realy scary. I was flying in form with Dnil on our rtb... when suddenly he began taking potshots at Dnil... case of Brainfreeze maybe

Just wanted to say it was alot of fun yesterday. Haven't got to fly with my Mongrel squadmates for months and just loaded Aces High this past week. So while I wasn't much help...I still enjoyed it and look forward to many more 332 flights and also coop flights with JG2..was indeed an awesome sight looking around at so many awesome birds
Also thanks to everyone on this board who helped me with my Sidewinder woes and to Razz
for taking me for some muchneeded AH training last week and Ghosth for the keyboard help..SALUTE!!

I had a blast flying yesterday, it was a great site to see, you could jump wing tip to wing tip, my only hangup was all the hard ware we were carrying, felt like we flying bombers other than that it was a good mission, hated to see 2 bombers get shot down , but war is hell!!!   JG2<S> will cover for you anytime

All my squad members having fun with out me eh?

Well when they were clearing the skies I was watching my 8th episode of Barny. My kids love that purple monster.

Well you all can expect to see daddog with the 332nd after this past weekend. My better half was away and I could not fly. Thanks as always X.O. for taking over and filling my slot.

Xman, glad your back!

LOL good post mino. Thanks weazel, saintaw, jeng. Yes, jeng we enjoy co-op missions, but I tend to shy away from squad duels. Looking forward to flying with all you gentlemen!

Weazel:  Sounds great!  How about this Wednesday night, say around 10:00 PM EST?  Buccs will be happy to fly targets...er, I mean Buffs  .  10 or 12 B-17's in tight formation, with a cloud of Stangs and Lightnings, will make a grand parade don't you think?  We can do a lot of damage to enemy infrastructure with that much firepower.  I always like a few of the P-38's to bring rockets and bombs along to clean up city targets after the fat boys take out the ack.  Sound like a plan?
