First - thank you to the CM's and to the axis leaders for a great time :)

No.418 SQN - the Hornets were assigned to cap P38 in KI61's. We arrived to find a group of f6f's about to attack. Believe that 4 were killed - no Hornets damaged or lost.

After Re-arm we were assigned to attack P40. Enroute another lone f6f was found attacking P38. Unfortunately he had done substantial damage to P38. He was killed but one Hornet was lost. The remainder generally destroyed P40 and RTB'd at A3. Unfortunately manybeer discoed on landing and could not re-up. My KI61 had gear damage and could not re-up. The remaining Hornets upped to cap A3 however the hi alt P47's in the area did not descend to engage.

Thank you all for a great time! See you next week. :)

18°Gruppo, 3°Stormo were assigned to IJN bombing group with primary terget A4.
1st Sortie:
We took off from A7 and we were assigned to destroy FH. We made that job with no losses.
Only I heard Rotty speaking about a wing riped off during RTB (formation was a little bit spread).
2nd sortie:
We took off from A1 and we were assigned to destroy BH on A4 too. We made that job too with no losses but.........approaching A1 while returning to base, MechW2 had a compression and bailed.

We have lost Rotty just in the previous rtb to A1 then, we didn't have a leader, so afther some minutes turning around the A1 base without any idea on what to do, I decided, and some other pilot encouraged me, to assume the command of the bombing group to lead the entire group over P40 (or secondary target) but while climbing to P40 vladd told me to steer the group to A4 and, so it was.
I hope the other components of the bombing group, will report on their targets destroyed while I honestly don't have idea if they have destroyed VH nor Fuel Thanks because everyone has thought to leave the bombing zone ASAP afther bombing range.

A great thanks to all pilots that permitted the bombing group to reach its goal plenty and...........the best of our thanks to the CM, the AXIS CO and to all the peoples who have permitted with their work to pass these 2 funny hours.

P.S.: Sorry for my English. I hope I was clear enough :)

HEHEHEHEHEE.   The F6F was a good pilot, and does deserve a . but MAG 33 when they first started the attack reported cons in the area.  56th FG tried to come to their aid, but didn't get there intime.  So we destroyed the port in retribution, then RTB'd.
The lone F6f killed the rest. :D

I think the CMs can be happy with the way things went :)

My squad had a blast! The good attendance made this TOD an excellelent experience and from what I could hear (in my lone command TBM) over AHV the fights seemed to be very intense.

Thanks to 418 for sterling work in the east - I didn't need to send any reserves that way due to your efforts which helped our side enormously in the A3 / A4 area.

18 Gruppo 3 Stormo and Rotty did a great job in our Ki67s and inflicted enormous damage on A4. That despite the fact most of you couldn't understand what I was saying  ;) We would have been sunk without you guys.

The Firebirds, 308 Sqn and 9GIAP were engaged in fighter combat throughout the entire frame and took heavy losses, but they died hard, wern't wiped out, and due to their efforts no Allied fighter got a shot at our buffs. Thanks to Bikekil especially for sticking around and helping coordinate things.

to GA and the Allies, it was a lot of fun!

looking forward to next week already.

Dang, I gambled there would be no immediate follow up attack on P38 after the F6s had been repelled, and ordered Busher to RTB early. Checking the film you propbably only missed each other by a few minutes, and I'm sure it would have been a good fight.

I hope we kept you entertained at A3/4 later on though ;)

Mag 33 F6F-5 target P38

All but 1 was lost to Hi KI61 in the first attack, this F6F-5 proceeded to run like hell screaming towards the 56th FG, 30 seconds after losing sight of the KI61's at his 6 he spotted the arriving 56th FG at 12oc.
So you missed that fight by seconds :)
F6F returned for a low level recon of P38  and asked if 56th FG could kill AA which they did.
After rearm F6F proceeded to complete job on P38 unfortunately about 10 miles short he spots a cloud of HI cons approaching from north KI61,  2 of which proceed to attack, after avoiding the clumsy initial attacks of these obvious beginners :D
F6F slips past and manages to take the VH out in 1 pass with 2 eggs, running like a scared girl dragging 2 Ki61.
Forced to fight 1 KI61 augers before the other catches F6F too low and far too slow.

was fun

It is a shame that we did not get to play Kronos :)

And Cav - Shame on you calling my sqddies beginners - all the Hornets are newbies; didn't you know?;)

CM for great TOD with no delays and good info regarding the battle!

Brave fighting Allied pilots;).

The Allied CO did not get my Orders opdates with new Orders did it some confusing in the begining;), but did miner for the outcom, Vladd for a great battle and good spirit by your pilot.

But I have to say it was a interesting TOD, with lots of brave flying, I was in tower at A-4, after i was shoot down by that dam Zero;), and I cant remember better Movie to see then the fight over A-4 ;), Good acusticks on the radio and smoke and explosions , yiiiihaaa nice.

332 Viking:
Regarding the battle :o

Ok I wil take this one , We should have loaded it up with 50% fuel and DT , not 100% fuel and DT, it was to heavy and to low!

And to Bozon, Duvel and Rompa;) who almoust sruvived to the bitter end, Bozon was the only Viking who landed his criple plan at A-4 after draging a enemy Zero i think it was, 5 miles away from base, while screaming draging draging, and I siting in my Tower with coffe and kandy:D, and screaming to the last one who landing, abort abort!! Bozon draging ib 5 miles out, and he pull thath stick so hard that it look like he gott after burners on :D, and IB Bozon with only 141 rounda left(that i call a brave soul;) ), he took a HO and sceared the sucker and Bozon and , was it sancho from the 56?, tryed to get him down, they pinged him but did not get him totaly down, and they all rtb 2 min before ending with no ammo was a great fight gents;)

hehe GA,
It was a niki that was chasing me...
my radiator was hit on engine numer 2, so the fights over A3 i was doing on one engine, igniting the second engine just for short moments when manuvering... then letting it cool down :)

my wingman was shot down just before we RTB so I was running away alone on 1+ engines with a n1k closing on my tail.
Snorkey was still over our base and he came to my rescue :)
we turned and chased the nik back to A3, but they quickly got away from my "twin-tail single-engine devil".
Snorkey.

I claim 1 zeke shot down, 1 zeke damaged (dont know if he fell).
there are also at least 1 ki61 and 1 nik with my bullets in their frame... my gunnery with p-38 leaves much to be desired :D

duvel and I had some great fights -  2 p-38 vs up to 5 zekes+ki61s over the island S to A4.

ohh the Shame  !

WoD did an initial cap (F4u-1D's)at a place that did not attract any attention and then proceeded to A4 to re arm for an attack somewhere else.............

At A4 we found a couple of Ki61 scouts and some low p38's One smoking........we climbed and played with the ki's for  a bit but they would not come down and eventually took off north where there were more freindlies..............

It seemed safe so i ordered all Wod down to re arm bar two who stayed to cap.................

This was a mistake i should have ordered us down one at a time but I was consious that we were needed for the next phase.

With all of us on the pad bar two I saw a lone dot low at high speed (i was one of the cappers) I dropped to id then called it in as a Ki................... he took two of us out (re arming)on his 1st pass and another two on his 2nd with me on his tail tryn to turn with him and not shoot down my own squadmates in front of him. mean while the other capper (Shift) chased 4 ki's in on the same path and A4 was full of ki's............and some zero's......... I think I got one for one  (Shift disabled one) but all of us were taken out very quickly.

When p47 runn away, p38 start attack me. I  kill Bozon wingman and start to follow smoked p38. When he be near a4 i pull up and start rtb before time end. Was chased by p47 /Snorkey/ after short turnfight, in chandelle he got 4-5 bullets in cockpit area, and one into engine & start smoking. Im turn too fast ad he ping me a little. Secound enemy comming to us and i decide runn home. Land safe with Vladd as last of  Jaf planes.

Thanks for everyone who participated!

NIKI'S:
Band - Group leader
Central (we are honoured to have ya with us!)
Ramzey

Blue - section leader
Bct
Bfx

KI61'S
Bikekil - CO
Asmo
Dasko
Lolo

Our NIKI's rolled few mins bafore KI's becouse of some tech issue. After a while of conversation we took KI's and joined Band. We headed to A4 where a lot of enemies were reported. I decided to split us into 2 flights becouse of aircrafts difference. My group leveled at 20k. Band took nikis on 25k alt.
Over A4 we found that enemy P38's and P47's are over 28k but i got the order to wipe them out!
After a while i died :D I can't tell much about fight but i saw that Skyman's fighters joined the fun a short while after us. I became THE ONLY victim of that fight (WTFG Guys ) and enemies were wiped out! ;) Can't wait to see the logs.
Joined asmo as an observer and was coordinating all with Vladd till the end. Nikis returned and refueled at A3 while Asmo who took the lead of group of KI's was patrolling A4 area. He spoted some F4U's and was forced to disengage.
At A3 band exited becouse of RL duties so i gave command in Central's hands. Asmo with guys refueled really quick and we were escorting our buffs over A4 where we dropped our bombs as well and destroyed VH and some ammo and fuel tanks. We lost 1 or 2 a/c there.
We had no time to climb becuose was called over HQ where bunch of 47's were spoted by our scouts. They were higher then us and killed most of guys. Only Ramzey left alive, alone found the enemy and revenged our death well  :D

I had a blast. this TOD was well balanced and planned! i hope to see more events like that
and thank you once again!
