Buffetting

Shouldn't the buffeting that you experience at high speeds be proportional to observed speed instead of truespeed?  For example, I just got done with a 262 flight in the MA, even though my observed speed was under 400 I was experiencing buffeting due to a true speed of 600 at high altitude.  At low altitude I can have an observed speed of 550 and not experience buffeting since my true speed is roughly the same.  Something seems fishy with this one.  I would have thought buffeting/control flutter would based on observed speed since a plane is basically oblivious to it's true speed.

Additionally, shouldn't there be a little bit of buffeting right as you reach stall speed.  Implementing that would certainly add to the imersion level as well as giving one more warning that you are pulling too much AoA (other than the buzzer).

Anyone agree/disagree and please explain why?

I believe buffeting/compression is based on mach number, indicated airspeed.
