I would rather the IDs weren't shown for the reasons Dago cited. Its bad enough to read some people's excuses/accusations when victim IDs aren't shown.

So, this is marked as a bad idea because of the whiney tards out there who can't handle getting shot down? I think it'd be nice to know by looking at the buffer who my squaddies are killing / getting killed by without having to bother them by asking. There are other important things to use the squad channel for, such as cursing and talking about boobies and other mature stuff.

Having it optional would not achieve the stated purpose.
Like it is is fine.
I would like enemy names to show up on thier icons in the film viewer though.

It would sometimes, which is better than never.

And those who would be embarassed by being shown that they were killed, wouldn't have to. They would simply choose not to.

If you have it on film... you can see who it was using the external viewer.
