TOD squad application 880 Sqn Fleet Air Arm
« on: June 03, 2002, 09:31:56 AM »
We can put in 4 for the Friday TODs. Any way we can sqeeze in? I just forrmed up the unit and we are itching to go!

Could we maybe tag along with the DAMNED as a "addon" flight for Friday? If they didnt mind.

We are easy, fit us in anywhere.

Thanks.

You got two options:
• Beg skernsk, sling, and daddog to let you have your own squad for this TOD round. Although truthfully I don't give you much chance of success for that since we are 5 days out from the first frame. Just a little bit too late for adding another squad.
 • Contact some of the squads that are in the Friday TOD and see if you can fly with them under their colors. For example the DAMNED are committed to fielding 11-15 (can go over by 2 for a max of 17) pilots. If they think they are only going to field say 11 pilots the have met their committment but have from 4 - 6 slots still left open that they can fill.

So if you approach them (or another squad) and they have slots left open, and you don't mind wearing their colors, or following the orders from their C.O. (Jordi) you can fly with them.

But you must work this out before the actual day of the event!. You can't come into the arena on friday night and ask a squad if they have any slots open. You need to work this out by e-mail before hand.
So go take a look at the squads flying on friday and contact their C.O.s about flying for them in this TOD. I am sure their are plenty of squads that will take another 4 flyers if they have slots open. My squad the Nightmares VMF-101 have members of 8 squads flying with us to meet our 21 - 25 +2 committment (AirMAgeddon, Cactus Air Force, NightHawks VFA-185, Horse Soldiers, Flying Tigers 130th, and WildCards fly with us along with our own).

I also emailed Jordi at the Damned, I flew 2 frames with them, maybe he can do something for us.

Thanks for the info gents, I appreciate it.

We should have some spots open - I know I can not make it !

I will know more as we get closer to Friday.

My guess is most if not all can tag along with the DAMNED.

Squire, we'll be glad to have you as guests...our numbers are scheduled as "11-14" but we've been running an avg. of 11 per TOD night.  We have room for 4 of  ya if its too late for your squadron to join this tour.

Oh, my god is it .. yes I think it is. Its a bidding war between MAG-33 and the DAMNED for Squire's pilots!

The bid stands at privilege of "accidently" fragging Jordi. MAG-33 counter bids with .....
