Bomber Pilots:
Do not kill the FH unless you are in support of a capture attempt. ie Goons inbound. Yes its a nice big juicy target, yes its fun to 'shut the base down', but the effect of all your time and effort is minimal. A base will be shut down for less then 15 min depending on how long it is between the first and last FH killed. The base is up before you are half way home.
Kill soft targets instead. You will do much more damage and help your team that much more. Fuel @ 25% shuts the field down much longer. A P51D will last only 13.25 min on 25% fuel. All other fighters are much less. Radar is always good. Ordnance and Barracks are great when your team is on the defensive.
Jabo Pilots:
If you are a part of a large mission w/ goons in the air: "Save a Goon... Kill a FH". You are carrying those Bombs/Rckts for a reason. And it is not to "Leave one FH up so we can Vulch!" Vulching kills Goons and Missions. 20 pilots low and slow over a base, fighting one another to get any planes taking off is a huge waste and dumb. Kill the FH's then spread out securing the likely enmy approaches and protect the Goon. If vulching is your thing, grab some guys find a base and have fun. But Not during a capture mission. This only applies to non-sneak missions of course.
