What the hell is going on?
The CT was as good as an historic arena with realistic matchups which when we had the numbers was fantastic.
The arena suffered because little attention was paid to it!
The map was bugged, had no strategy system in place, no capture and the date or era wasnt changed frequently enough.Its been stuck on the late plane set for weeks.
We knew all this as we played it but I for one still enjoyed it as a nice break from fighting BS 109 vs nik fights.
People that dont care what plane fights what would be just as happy in MA!
Im sorry but i read pyros post on the CT and i felt encouraged that they would give us a good REAL map with a much more involved or difficult capture system!! DAMN IT I wanted as REAL as we could make it not some roadkill what if crap.
I realise maybe HTC want it filled with players to lighten the load on the main servers but turning it into MA no.2 but with limited planeset is totally mad! even stupid!
I logged in saw my choice .......
fly LW and fight f6fs and f4uds on a map ive PLAYED TO DEATH !!!! jesus i couldnt think of anything worse.
I think the reason the CT was failing was purely down to the slow nature of the rolling plane set, coupled with the bugs and lack of capture system.
Also it seemed to me that if theres not 10 guys or more in it noone enters.This isnt because people wouldnt enjoy it, its just no one wants to play in a large map with a few people.I think the only way it will ever fill is if it was the only arena open but that isnt a viable answer.
People say there isnt enough of us that want the historic stuff and that the CT proves it but I say it was the sheer lack of reason to play in there that is killing it.There is no score system to keep track of, not much choice in tactics besides bombing or jabo to hit fuels and dogfighting.flak firing at you on take off, no feeling of being in a war just sterile fights.
Well im sorry but as a fan of historic matchups and flying that isnt my idea of a historic type arena.It was almost an afterthought.
Im real dissapointed in the new set up.
Sheesh the MA is furballing BOREDOM and the CT will end up the same.
Give us at least one place where we have real maps with accurate matchups PLEASE
and let us players control the changes in year/era of the wars that were fought on these maps
If HTC think they need american planes to get US people in CT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE use a REAL map of the Pacific theatre and REALISTIC enemy planes! as in IJN.
