Apologies to everyone...
« on: June 05, 2002, 01:17:52 PM »
Just wanted to apologize for my "Serious Question" thread.  I honestly did not intend for it to be a troll or anything like it.  Sorry for starting a thread that, though entertaining at some points, developed into a flame-fest about spits and arguments about percentages.

Heheh, Murphy's Law has just been following me around lately, I guess this was just another case.

More like "Mando's Law".  Any thread involving Mando will devolve into a Spitwhine in 5 posts or less.  :)

Man, these last two weeks have just been a nightmare for me.  Long story that really doesn't need to be mentioned, suffice to say it has destroyed my sleep paterns.  That thread was just another example (not that the thread was causing me worry, but it just makes me feel kind of weird about starting a thread that is approaching 200 posts in three days and includes a large amount of flames and such).

Oh well, at least the con is coming up soon and the school year is almost over.

no worries math.  I shoulda known better than to try and participate in that discussion.  At times, it was pretty civil, but then it degraded as usual.  :(

people will flame anything for anyreason...its there life...most people dream of a 200 post thread...people seem to think just because they like a plane its the best one and everyone should fly it...oops should shutup now...apology accepted

(feels weird to be a student accepting a apology from a teacher)

Math,

Wouldn't even think twice about it buddy. Initial posts and comments were interesting though soon stopped reading once the flames started.

Always good to see you around in your F6F as I'm sure you enjoy that ride as much as I enjoy my Spit 5,9,14, :-)

"I can name it in 3."

"I can name that whine in 2 posts."

"NAME THAT WHINE"

....  hmmm, uhh, that would be, "the nikla IX is a UFO" in C minor, Bill.

ding ding ding ding, you win!!!  Its an oldy, but still one of our favorites here at the show.

Sorry Rip, it was supposed to be just a three day thing that kind of has turned into a 4+ month thing.  Maybe we can come back to the knits.  :)

I apologize to you for participating in that thread. I always try to post in a logical fashion, but sometimes forget when to let things go.

Mathman, you meant well but you need to understand that "No good deed goes unpunished.."

I suggest that you turn away from the Darkside and join the 15% of us that play this game for fun.   That means  only about 15% of what you read on this board should even be considered, let alone acted on.

It will make your Aces High experience so much more enjoyable.

The thing that irks me is explosion of "Perk this!" posts we have seen lately. Perk, don't perk, I don't care, but selectively perking based on a plane bias is out as far as I'm concerned.
