P47D11 Fuel Options
« on: June 06, 2002, 01:37:45 PM »
This may have been discussed before, but it completly bewilders me.

P47D15-first Thunderbolt to be built with underwing pylons and fuel system plumbing within the wings to use for underwing droppable fuel tanks.

I understand that we have a P47D11, but the only fuel option it has is one 75 gallon centerline tank. But I'm looking at pictures of earlier P47D-1's,5's, with 150 gallon wingtanks but they are fixed with braces, are these not jettisonable?

Oh yes can we please have a 200 gallon centerline tank?
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

The early P-47Ds with bracing on the sides of the wing tanks are non-jettisonable ferry tanks.

Thanks sancho!

Now Pyro, How bout a 200 gallon centerline tank? So we can get those D11's farther into Germany.

click my sig. nuchpatrick.
I've done several fuel consumption tests - 1/4 total fuel consumption time for all fighters in 1.08, and 1/4 time per tank for some planes (and P-47 offcourse:) ). the last test was done with 100% throttle, and 66% throttle.
just pay attention to what "fuel-burn-multiplyer" the figures relate. (in the MA it's 2).

EDIT:
can't belive I forgot to put the D11 figures into the per-tank table... will be updated asap.
