The pilot ejected and died, the poor schmo in the back seat did not eject and walked away from the plane!

Apparently he came in hot, over ran the runway and somehow wound up on a busy highway. I dont recall what those ejection seats are rated for (altitude required, etc) but its too bad he perished.

and reading about the specs on the seats....from folks Ive talked to, the L-39 wheel brakes are not the most reliable in the world.

that airplane has been made in Czech, company is owened by Boeing
