La7 & la5fn cockpit views

the forward default view to access the sights is in error on the La 5fn in my opinion.

I realise that is is a little difficult to rend actuality into 3d that still has playability but we seem to have located the pilots head differently for the la7 to the la5 when infact both were very very similar.

this is the la7 default forward view



now we see the default forward La5fn view



I believe this representation puts the pilots head too high in the canopy...............

now this is where I think the pilots head should be on the La5fn although it could be argued that the sight should be lowered a tad. (i have basically moved the view point)




this is a view of the real thing..............its not at the right angle but you can see how the sight sits in the armoured windshield relative to the frame  (its an la7)






This may seem a little fussy but it is weird to have them so different when they could be the same.  (ish)

Your right.  I had to look at them several times to see the difference.  I went off-line and put the text buffer on the top of canopy and went to each one.  I pressed home to make sure my default position was not changed.  They are different.

Also armoured glass behind pilot's head is having large bars. I've seen few pics and in those it looks like that glass had steel wire laminated inside of the glass.

your right it is not a metal frame but a thickening in the glassin the vertical central re enforcement and like wise in the horizontal to house a wire.........





also the bracketry does not extend all around ............just a cap at the top and a horizontal brace behind the seat
