Bad idea for a full time arena. Bad idea, very bad. I'm serious too. Apparently you guys haven't flown in one of those things otherwise you'd already know what it will be like. It will be a concentrated furball between an enemy and a friendly field. Okay, maybe two fields but that will be about it. Flying a 2 hour flight to not find an enemy and shoot at something is fairly boring. No wait, it's _EXTREMELY_ boring. THe whole point behind the in flight radar is to assist you in finding a fight to heighten your enjoyment of the game. YOu can say now "Oh, but I don't enjoy something that's not realistic." Well sometimes there are things put in place so as to actually assist your enjoyment. Rather you realize it now, or later if they actually built this arena.. it will come to your attention. You will be back here once the shine wears off of that new arena. "This is so boring and so lame. I get off the ground and a friendly collides with me. Then I fly for 2 hours and don't find a damn thing. Then.. This.. That.. The other thing.." Well you get the idea. The WB HA was _VERY_ fun when they had the european terrain and launched spitIXs from england against Ju88s and 109Fs on the european mainland. BUt ya know what? Only 1 field on each side was used. Furball was centrally located, and it was easy to fly over kill something and return to base. It was a fun escape from the main arena. It's still not what you guys are after though, trust me. There are features that are in place to make it actually seem more realistic. During the Battle of Britain the radar operators could vector interceptors to a very close proximity of the incoming raid, and the field observers(or whatever those guys with binoculars are called) gave more detailed information. Then later on, germany had radar to detect incoming raids and vectored their interceptors to the bombers by the time they hit the mainland's coast. Why get rid of radar in flight or otherwise if it existed back then? Sure, they didn't have exact locations, but they could easily be vectored to within visual range. That's why HTC built the in flight radar. That's why you can destroy it too, so you can launch raids and not worry about being intercepted. Sorry, but radar needs to stay if you are going to label it "super duper ultra hyper-realistic" otherwise you should label it "You won't find a damn thing in here buddy".
