Need help with my CH gear.
« on: June 11, 2002, 10:36:14 PM »
Ok,

I got my Pro throttle and Fighterstick, already had the pedels, its late and I am tired.

I downloaded the control manager from the CH site, I am running XP.

Pluged in all devices as requested and installed the control manager.  It configured all the devices as it said it would.

I go to calibrate them in windows and get nothing when I follow the wizard.

I try to calibrate them in the control manager and the same thing.

What do I need to do to get them working for AH?

Thanks

Milo,  I have the CH Fighterstick, pro throttle and pro rudder set up all USB.  I used the ch manager and programmed the controls.  The directions by CH are not as clear as they could be, but if you follow them you will get through it.  I am a complete novice at the programming (was used to the point and click calibration and setup) and was finally able to get it programmed.  I understand that I can post my settings on this BB but I don't know how to do that.  If you know how I can post the settings I will be glad to do that for you.   I fly under the cpid of wizer.

It was to late to start on that project last nite :)

I will report back.

YGSMILO,

I think you will find that you don't need to calibrate them in Windows.  I have the Fighterstick, Pro throttle and Pro pedals (all USB) and I have never ever calibrated them in Windows or through the CH control manager.  I do, however do the AH online calibration and it works just fine.  I have never had any noticeable loss of calibration to date, although I do the AH online calibration from time to time just out of habit.

I also have the full set of CH controls and do not bother calibrating them in Windows or with the Control Manager.  I do need to calibrate each time I start AH though.  Once in a while (always at the worst possible moment) it seems to suddenly loose calibration and I have to quickly re-calibrate in flight.

Got everything up and going tonite.

Stick is very smooth and seems to have good flight action.

Lots of nice combinations possible with all the hats.
