Update on HiTech's Family
« on: July 07, 2000, 09:31:00 AM »
Many of you know about the tragedy that occurred in the Addink Family. Here is an update:

As you know Dale's brother Don and his 16 year old niece, Jody, perished in the accident. Another niece, Gina, is still in Intensive Care. With everyday that passes, the hope grows for a full but lengthy recovery. Don's wife Mary has been released from the hospital with a severe broken arm and some broken ribs but she is expected to recover as well.

The service will be held Friday in Phoenix with the burial Saturday for both Don and Jody.

The Addink family is doing as well as can be expected in this situation. I have relayed the messages of condolences to Dale and he is most appreciative and touched by the outpouring of sentiments from this wonderful community.

Thank you all again for the kind words for Dale and his family in this time of loss.

Regards,

Yankee

Here's the AP story on the accident...

Let's pray for Gina and hope that she doesn't blame herself for this when she pulls through.

I agree, my point is that sometimes people blame themselves anyway.  Let's pray she doesn't do that.  There's enough pain there already.

I am speechless with all this...I hope that Dale and his family can go ahead the best possible way, and that Gina has a fast recovery.

I read the link and I agree...was damn bad luck nothing else. When that happens there is nothing the driver can do, but hope in good luck.

I am glad that Angela suffered no serious injuries.

I wish all them a fast recovery and all the best.

Yankee,

Thanks for the update and please convey my sincere condolences to Dale and his family.

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!
