HTC has been doing this long enough that they don't really ever have to test out anything. Its always right the first time... just like HiTech's spelling.

And Zip.. No, it doesn't work that way. They release it, then patch anything that shows up. Beta is more for earlier, major game construction releases, not necessarily upgrade versions of the existing game.

Wait a minute, it did work that way last year. I think 1.08, which was the first release to require DX8 had a seperate beta release. I seem to recall having to download it from one of the message boards instead of the normal download page and it installed in a seperate directory. But that may have been just to test the DX8 features.

That is exactly it if I recall correctly. They used beta testing for some other features as well. But not for whole versions.

Dammit Soviet, there ya go again. I thought you woulda learned from the last thread (mine). How dare you post a picture depicting the actions of an altitudinally challenged private pilot??? Don't you know that is totally uncalled for, and worthy of someone hijacking the thread to begin a pointless rant fest? lol... Sometimes this "place" just cracks me up.

And yes, zip, there was a seperate beta version to test the DX8 compatibility, but that was one of those major game construction things I was talking about.
