cajun, we held that close echelon right formation for a few minutes while we climbed toward the fight.  Our squad does close formation flying all the time when flying to the fight and flying home.  Just remember, if there's any chance of enemy fighters in the area, you want to spread out to at least 1000 yards separation for safety and visibility.

You beat me to it Sancho! :D
Looks really good, I wanted such a shot (the 3 P47s) for long. Good for the web site.

We usually do anything in formation from take off to landing. We take off in formation, climb and cruise in formation (so we are not borred, keeps our mind buzy). When in a combat zone we spread to be able to see each other's 6 (especially in those D11s). When it's done, we regroup, RTB in form, buzz the tower in close form, land in form or peel off at 2 secs intervals, it depends on the lead mood.

It's our trade mark and we have fun doing it:cool: I like to stay in the tower just to whatch other squads doing the same, but it's pretty rare. Provides some entertainment for the tower guys.
Dat jugs bro.

Man that makes me wanna signe up for MA and join a squad!!

I love flying in formation, doing coordinated attacks, rtbing and basically flying realistically instead of just takin off alone and shootin up the enemeis, ending in a kamakazee run or something like most ppl do.

This is about closest formation I've ever kept in the H2H, was a practice run on an abandon feild.
