This is fishy, unless you can explain it.

O.k. last night about 6pm central time I was flying with BBMAW whom just shot the wings off an La-7. The offending aircraft then proceeded to Vulch SLO sitting on the runway and then happily flew home on the deck at 379mph. BBMAW has the whole thing on film I just took this short clip so I could post it here and get some feed back.

No wings at all on your FE?  Probably a connect thing, but you could probably email the film to HTC if you were concerned enough.

Yeah, I emailed it to Pyro... and yes someone has already told me they think its a connect problem. There seems to be more connect problems as of late, me personally am on a T-1... I host a couple of web sites so that is why I have such a big pipe so seeing as my connect is so good shouldn't I not be affected by this? Why does having such a good connection seem to be such a bad thing around here? Would it not make sense to require someone to recieve a certian ping in order to play?

it doesn't work that way, besides, pings can change drasticly in a short time.

And any time any 2 planes are interacting his ping does effect things.

Your connect to htc is good but how is it to him?
What you see on your FE will eventually impact him, but if he's got a poor connect it may take a while. Chances are he got halfway home then complained about the "invisible plane" that blew off both wingtips.

You have to figure in more than your connect, as Ghost said, his ping also matters... and also how loaded the HTC servers/bandwidth are.

There's a whole mess of things that can screw up gameplay over the internet...

but it's the internet, toejam happens. It ain't exactly the most reliable thing around.

As BBMAW and you witnessed the same, I think that the connection problem came from the La7 player. The packet(s) containing the bullet hits never reached him, or the return packet(s) containing the damage done to him was screwed 'en route' to HTC server, showing both wings gone although he hadn't suffered such a critical damage (he maybe had just an aileron or a wingtip gone on his FE).

Of course I may be wrong...

I had something similar last night. I knocked both wings off of a P51 (knight) and then they grew back. So, I shot 'em off again. Second time was the charm :)

Same thing happened here last night,an Il-2 was upping from his field. I went in and strafed him with my tiffie and his tail fell off and he flipped up while losing several more peices, I had to roll to avoid colliding with his corpse, looked back a few seconds later to watch him crash and he come back together and killed me!!!!!!!

Here's another one.

A spit was turning into one of our fields during a vulch. I turned on him, but saw him lose his wings and burst into flame. After I overshot he healed up. The reversal ended all that, but I've forgottten who it is.

I think this is connection related (not mine anymore, as I'm on cable and it's awesome).
