Thank you all Bishops who were in HQ raid today. It was really cool! Your formation was tight and looked excellent and it was really fun to dive my 109 in there. Unfortunately you killed me in my second pass. :D

I havent had such an excitement in AH for a long time.

Plz do  more buffraids!

(yes.. I upped another 109 and killed 3 of you.. with help of my rookmates)

I posted the mission up as part of No.9 Squadron's squad night. We had some great pilots from many different squadrons join us. Escort fighters were a bit thin on the ground but the ones we had more than made up for it, they did a great job and got us to target without any buffs taking damage as far as I am aware. They chased and killed fighter after fighter but we were eventually overwhelmed as we hit our primary target the rook HQ. We also managed to hit the Rook radar factory but by then all hell had broken loose and many fighters upped (including CavemanJ in his 262..you did'nt get me this time hehe) one by one we fell to some great attacking moves by 109's, a few 262's and the odd F4U.

There were a few sneers on ch1 about our objective being pointless due to rebuild time but this was a fun sortie and boy was it fun. Nine or more B17's made it to target and we kept pretty good formation (once formed up we managed to keep the last B17 about D1.2 away) until then end when some were damaged and fell out of formation. I hope it was exciting for you fighters because it was very exciting for us bombers even if we did'nt make it home. I plan on running more of these missions on our Sunday squad nights so we'll look out for you next time ;) We just can't wait to see v1.10 and the size of formation we could get up :D

to those who took part, hope to see you next week!

Sorry Revvin but I did get one of your B17's smoking before you reached target. :p  Unfortunately your group killed me.

Escorting fighters were too late behind me. It was a lonely suicideattack and I didnt had even small chances to stop you just before you reached our HQ.:)

Btw there is lots of warps when there is so many planes in tight formation. Thats the only bad thing in those missions.:(

mipoikel, u bastige - you killed me!!  I was the B17 whose left wing you blew off. You came in too low for my tail gunner to get you, and too high for the ball gunner.

Weird, I do see the images on my computer, but not on another one... I'll post the links instead then.

Taken by a warcorrespondent from the 9th Sqn. RAF, who was present during the raid last night:

The spearhead of the formation...

The whole lot of us, letting a P47 have it...

Almost a real formation!

I believe this is you, Mipoikel

And this is what we do with suicide "Lets attack em from their six" 262's.

Copy the URL and paste it into your browser. Geocities and Tripod and ANgelfire dont allow you to link to their sites from UBBs.
