Looking for squad
« on: June 16, 2002, 10:21:19 PM »
I also posted this in the squadron forum

Let me start out by saying to all.

I am currently looking to join a squad that is primarily fighter oriented. Recently, I have been in the{Nighthawks} bomber squadron, but feel that I could learn more, faster, by flying with a dedicated fighter squadron. I fly two to three hours a night, except for Friday and Saturday nights, and I primarily fly a P-51. I fly for Rooks in the MA

If anyone can assist me or give me a chance, it would be greatly appreciated. BTW I did not leave the {Nighthawks} with bad feelings. I respect their bomber unit.

My email addy is Superswan1@aol.com

Yes the =Ghosts= is a great place to be in Rookland .

After squad shopping a couple of months ago . (I was a CO/XO in a huge squadron in FA2 for over a year)
I looked at most of the squads in here and the =Ghosts= is were i decided to make my home ... (two squad nights aweek no overbearing controlling CO/XO's ) everyone listens to each other and tries different idea's ect .
You have selected  planes to fly each month (on squad night )... but have the option to fly anything you want .

And the CO has this great info site based on AH (that Widewing forgot to post ) here http://www.netaces.org

P,s. our Fleece lined Flight jackets look really good !!!

I recommend readying this article

http://www.netaces.org/ahsquad/squad.html#title

It has alot of good information about what to look for in a squad.  Its courtsy of Hammer of the Ghosts.

The Rooks have many fine squads, Im not sure which Nighthawks you flew with, but the Nightmares are a bit of a sister squad to Wildmans Nighthawks.

I of course have to recommend my own squad also.  The Cactus Air Force.   (CAF)    Take a look at our website at
http://www.cactusairforce.org

I can be reached at GrimmRP@Centurytel.net

Swan :)

Being Sister Squads for years, the Nightmares have nothing but respect for you as well as all the NightHawks :).  Listen bud, you are more than welcome to wing up with us ANYTIME.  Just tuna 165 Voice and Text, and your good to go.  As happens from time to time we are currently at 32 flyers, but we have lots of independents who hang out with us.  Also, let Ghost know if you want to stay on the distribution for TOD and other Events.

Anyone lucky enough to pick up Swan is getting a good flyer and a good person, you can't ask for more in this game ;).  Swan, good luck, and remember you always have a home with the NightHawks AND Nightmares :).

Cya Up!
