Well thats it I have had it, in the past two days I have seen or should I say not seen the biggest bunch of horseshit ever in the MA.  Invisible panser rounds when I confirmed that the guy that killed me had tracers on and I was no more than 800 ft away from him in a m3.  Invisible planes that seem to get on your 6 at will.  I know others are experiencing the same problems and from the reply that Pyro posted he doesnt sound to interested.  This game just isnt worth the $14.99 to play with hackers and or a porked server that lets planes appear and disappear at will.  Have fun shellin out $$$ for a product that has gone to toejam in the past few weeks with no sign of being fixed.  I believe that AH is the best sim out there but it has become unbearable to play like this.

Stat2000,

Got film?

Thats not intended as a denial of what you saw.  I've been seeing a lot of really wierd things the last month or so.  I've been at out HQ and seen buildings blowing up and not seen any tank tracers and didn't think I saw any bombers around.  I've seen planes that I could have sworn vanished and reappeared elsehwere.  However, its happened at too infrequently for me to have caught on film yet.  So I haven't said anything yet.  I've been meaning to make a concerted effort to capture it on film.

If its happening to you as often as you seem to claim, then its should be no problem for you to provide HTC with several films.

Film is really the only way HTC is going to be able to track down and solve the problem.  Thats all Pyro was trying to say.  Noone is claiming that its not happening (at least some of the time).  But only with film can they hope to track down the problem.

When I do get it on film, thats the time to post on the bugs forum and provide them all the info they need in addition to the film such as isp and traceroutes etc.

That is how a problem gets solved.  To claim that they are not interested or don't care is...well, childish.  As is this tantrum.

99.9% B.S.

We have yet to hear of an invisible plane that someone could actually prove killed someone. The few people that have discussed this on open buffer (flying as an invisible plane) stated that all other planes appear as distant dots only. All the other rubbish is poor SA or connection related. I kill people daily that never see what hits 'em, and I don't have to be invisible to do it. It happens and I have film to prove it.

As to invisible Panzer rounds, it sounds like you would not have lasted long anyway. 800 feet? Even at 800yds. you would not have time to translate your turret. I had three panzers bullseyed at the spawn point off of 69 just yesterday. I could see them in total confusion, hunting the hills for my location. I gave them no mercy as I called for supplies. I used no tracers (to hide my location) and at 2.6k kept them wrapped up for quite awhile.

It sounds to me like you received a brutal beating. Running into one of the games' veterans can be quite frustrating. Perhaps, if you had chosen more carefully you would have come up with a more successful experience. To me this game is the best thing going.

If you decide to return, I will be more than willing to show you a few trade secrets, though I am by no means the best in the game (in any category). I am sure I am not alone. This community does what it can to support people willing to try. Further, there are many individuals about that come up with thoughful, productive input about gameplay issues; AND HTC listens to their customers. I have been a subscriber to many other services that failed in that regard.

Regards.

Thats it rabbit, add a little fuel to the fire.

Seriously though Strat2000, keep your film running at all times.  It's the only way to resolve any problems.  It's not BS, but thats not to say there's not something wierd happening.

For the past year I have seen my share of warps, discos, etc.  The routing change they did on the server help my pings considerably from 120-150 during peak times to no more than 80 during peak times.   Weird things have been happening not just in the past two days but in the past few weeks.  I do not run my film everytime i hop in a plane or vehicle, so therefor I dont have film of the events that took place.  However earlier today as Nexx can confirm he killed me twice in a panser while I was in M3, I should have filmed it but its not something that I do very often and simply forgot to do it.  However,  both times i was killed i was in the gunner position looking straight at the panser that was smoking.  Neither time did I see a trace (Nexx confirmed he did have them on) nor did I hear an explosion or even see a crater on the rounds that he fired at me.  He said it took him two rounds both times to kill me.  The distance between us was no more than 1.2 and the second time was maybe 800.  Piss poor attitude? I think not.  Why pay for a product that is flawed? and for that matter one that doesnt seem to have a fix.  The biggest reason that I dont film toejam is that I dont see a point in it,  everytime that I have seen someone post a film about something it is either discredited or people make smartassed comments about it.  If this is a connectivity issue than why has it only started in the past week or so?  If it was then why wouldnt it have happened directly after the router change? Is it a hack? who knows, but if it looks like a turd and smells like a turd...well then its a turd.  And this issue smells like a big pile of it.

Gentlemen, Feel like i'm stuck between a rock and a hard place on how to respond to this thread.

Stat2000 is not someone we wish to have involved in AH. The reasons I cannot go into.  So please accept theres a lot more than you know.

Anyway im locking this thread, not do to a complaint about connections,it's do to the blatent flame of HTC and a call to other players to leave.

We are very serious about showing  respect to people when posting, and that includes us at HTC.

As far as the connection issues go, nothing can be changed in the current code until 1.10 is released, we have already made a change that will switch people to TCP if the host stops recieving UDP updates. But do to the current state of the code,it can not be installed until 1.10 is released.

This should fix the linksys router troubles.
