Apology to this forum
« on: June 19, 2002, 12:53:04 PM »
Guys I do apologize for my post responding to Drunky on the thread titled "Parity my Arse".
I am usually much better behaved than that, however after an hour and a half of constant whining, I lost my cool. I still stand by stance on the subject, we "VF-27" have participated in all CT set-ups since the squadron was formed, even if we hated them. We would love to be able to fly F6's, and F4U's against a determined Japanese force. After all the planning, training, and anticipation, to not only have nobody to fight, but get insulted for assuming the role intended for your squad....... I snapped a twig, hell I think it was the whole damn branch.:p
Anyway again I apologize for language, and insults.

Your right Corwin you didnt use profanity. I just reviewed the film, and I did make a mistake lumping you in with what others were saying. I owe you a personal apology. Now that I have posted my apologies to the world, I would like to say VF-27 has never been anything but pro CT. We are not the ones that are going to ruin CT, and we are not a bunch of gangbangers. In fact the whole night we saw one A6m, I think it may have been you Corwin. We stayed at sea away from anywhere there was any fighting attacking shipping and hoping that others would come in to CT and fly Axis. That never happened, and after two sorties I logged as did a few others in the squadron. When this squad started there was just me and Andijg for over a month, then we grew to 6 members, and seemed to run into the Assassins each squad meet and get beat down like poodles at a rotwieler convention. So excuse us if we have become a squad that has enough members, and skill to be a threat others in CT. That is not our intetion, the whole idea for a CT squad is to get other squads in CT as well, and not all Allied. I hope more Axis squads participate en masse it will make it a funner, better arena for all IMHO.

FWIW, I'm willing to put up with the imbalance that squad nights are bound to produce, just to get more people exposed to the CT.  Figure they'll come in on NON-squad nights, and that the numbers will go up overall.

OK, since everyone is apologizing to everyone else, I want to make a blanket apology for being an ass.  No incident in particular, just dweebyness in general.  Vulching, HOing, ack-running, milk-running, ignoring the text buffer and not saluting, giving whiners a hard time, flying the spit, etc.

:)

"I WILL find you on the rw!  , of course, my "honor" prevents me from calling it a "vulch", so it will be a "tactical kill", when I do it, lololol "

I believe Crutch (Warbirds) coined the term "Swooping" to describe the attack.  This certainly eased anyone's conscience as they carried out the tactic.  :)
