Coaching kids T-Ball :)

What a joy!  What a laugh!  I think coaching kids (5-6 yr olds) T-ball was meant to be a parental entertainment value. :)

Kid "A" gets a hit, runs to first base, stops.  All is good in the world.

Kid "B" gets up to plate, hits a ball, and Kid "A" (who is a base runner) scoops the ball up and throws out his team mate Kid "B" at first base. :):)

I don't think VMF-323 Training Tactics would apply here Swoop. :)

Aint that the truth!? LOL :D

My seven year old daughter is just as likely to be chasing a butterfly as keeping her eye on the ball. God bless the coaches!.

Heh, one 5 yr old was just happy holding my hand thru out most "idle times" during practice (his father died last year :( ).   Cute bugger..his mother seemed alittle embarassed, I told her "Don't sweat it, Alex Rodrigez did the same thing when he was his age, and he didn't turn out all bad now did he?..."  oh, bad example I guess...:D

ya, t-ball was the best.  little league goes down hill from there.

but t-ball was a blast.

my son playing center feild the ball hits him in the back as he's turned completely around watching the 14 yr old girls in shorts playing on the next feild.

or my oldest daughter completely ignoring the game to sit and pick dandylions.

the kid who you had to dodge every time he was at bat 'cause he would swing as soon as the ball touches the 't', even before you let go of it.

enjoy and savor this year.  if you stay in little league you will spend many years wishing it could be like this again.

what capt. apathy said

once out of t ball it becomes so political it ruins alot of the fun for both the kid and the parents

and the parents can get outa control too...

better than coach is score keeper - about 8 seasons btwn the two sons - best view in the house, small kids not allowed, no skeeters and air conditioned  :)
When the coach asks for volunteers, grab it, unless ur one of those type of parents who like to scream from the stands :)

lol, this is just the script that could have saved "Viva Knievel" from box office disaster. The Daredevil, foiling the drug dealers plot to kill him, is holding Billy's hand explaining it’s ok to use him as a role model instead of his dead father, drugs are bad, but supplements are ok, and [ –close zoom in on widow- she, noticing the wedding ring, begins to swell up in tears, finally crying as she embarrassing blushes at his manhood ] to always look both ways when crossing the street.

wow...

My fondest memory of T-ball was looking out into center field and seeing this little boy on his hands and knees. One shoe was in his raised hand, as he waited patiently for a gopher to stick his head out of his hole. I think I laughed for a week after that one.

Let me give you a tip on the last one; I hold the end of the player's bat before I place the ball on the T. Works like a charm. :D
